If you're travelling through Europe, you might come across a rare sight these days
a man dressed in black suit, white shirt ,black tie and wide-brimmed black hat playing old acoustic blues. Always fascinated by old-style acoustic
blues and ragtime guitar picking, Jim decided to make it his living quite late in life.
While in demand as a performer at private functions, he plays in the city streets two or three times a week " in the old tradition " and attracts guitar students of all ages.
His guitar style is driving and complex, incorporating both the ragtime styles of Reverend Gary Davis, Blind Blake Blind Boy Fuller and Big Bill Broonzy , and also the blues styles of Lightnin' Hopkins and Robert Johnson.
